Smart Governance, Urban Leadership, and the Future of Urban Development

On April 22nd and 23rd Boston College University and LEAD held their 2nd innovative certificate program in Dubai “URBAN INNOVATION – The Future Of Urban Development”.

The niche and highly targeted event took place in the Conrad Hotel – Sheikh Zayed Road where two professors from Boston College University took turns in discussing how Urban Innovation can help those in charge such as Political Leaders, Government Officials, CEOs, Senior Executives, Government Affairs and Relations Officers and Civil Leaders transform their political institutions into highly motivated, innovative units that embrace “Smart Governance” for the 21st Century.

Participants were presented with tools to endorse good governance in transportation, political leadership in uncertainty times, to confront climate change and terror, and promote development and enhance integration through great diversity.

The program was intense and dynamic. By using case analysis, discussion, and leadership exercises participants were able to learn about, experience, develop, and practice implementable policies, practices, and tools that support, enhance, and facilitate smart, innovative, efficient urban governance.
